SPR Riveting Machine for Highway & Municipal Traffic Sign Production
Highway traffic signs require durable assembly between aluminum face plates and galvanized steel reinforcing channels. The retroreflective film on sign panels is extremely fragile. Traditional drilling and riveting easily scratches or creases reflective sheeting, leading to high scrap loss. Welding will burn the reflective film completely.
Deep throat C-frame SPR riveting machines are specially designed for large-size road sign panels. The hydraulic SPR machine uses automatic rivet feeding. Cold joining requires no pre-drilling. The SPR rivet pierces the aluminum sign sheet and locks into the galvanized channel without harming the reflective film.
Riveted joints resist wind vibration, rain and salt spray for decades of outdoor service. Manufacturers use 5.3mm SPR rivets with anti-corrosion coating for standard sign assembly.
Deep throat design allows operators to process wide-format overhead highway signs, municipal warning signs, guide signs and roadside safety signs. Automatic feeding greatly boosts output and cuts labor cost compared with old punching and riveting workflows.
For traffic sign factories, SPR riveting machines reduce waste of expensive reflective film and improve finished sign quality.
